Bormio is Lombardy’s most sporting resort: 50 km of pistes between 1,225m and 3,012m with one of Italy’s greatest vertical descents (~1,800m). The legendary Stelvio piste from the World Cup Downhill is one of the most technical and feared on the FIS circuit.

Beyond competitive skiing, Bormio offers something unique: historic thermal baths (Bagni Vecchi, Bagni Nuovi) with thermal waters at 37-40°C at the foot of the pistes. The Alta Valtellina lift pass expands the domain to 200+ km including Livigno, Santa Caterina and Cima Piazzi.

Why ski here

1. Stelvio piste: World Cup Downhill One of the most technical downhill pistes on the world circuit. Final wall with gradients over 60%. Skiing it (when open to the public) is an experience for advanced skiers.

2. 1,800m of vertical from 3,012m From Cima Bianca (3,012m) down to Bormio (1,225m), continuous descent with panoramic views of Stelvio and the National Park. One of the greatest verticals in the Alps.

3. Thermal baths at the foot of the pistes Bagni Vecchi (dating from the 1st century) and Bagni Nuovi: open-air thermal pools with mountain views. The skiing + thermal baths combination is unique.

4. Alta Valtellina lift pass: 200+ km With the combined pass, access Livigno (115 km), Santa Caterina (35 km) and Cima Piazzi (25 km). A week without repeats.
