Why ski here

1. Lake + glacier in one destination Schmittenhöhe offers panoramic views over Zeller See whilst you ski. Kitzsteinhorn offers glacier at 3,029 m. Two radically different experiences on a single trip.

2. K-ONNECTION: from village to glacier The K-ONNECTION cable car connects Kaprun village with Maiskogel and from there with Kitzsteinhorn — ski-in/ski-out from the town centre to the glacier. No car, no bus.

3. Ski ALPIN CARD: 408 km The combined lift pass integrates Zell am See-Kaprun with Skicircus Saalbach (270 km own pistes). Total: 408 km of premium pistes with a single pass.

4. Extended season Kitzsteinhorn glacier opens in October and closes in May. When the rest of Salzburg is preparing the season, in Kaprun you’re already skiing.

5. Direct train from Salzburg Zell am See has a station on the main Salzburg–Innsbruck line. ~1.5h by train. No transfers.
