Saas-Fee is the jewel of the Saastal: a pedestrian village at 1,800 m surrounded by 18 peaks over 4,000 m — the highest concentration of “four-thousanders” in the Alps. The glacier domain reaches 3,573 m with 100 km of pistes and 23 lifts, complemented by neighbouring areas Saas-Grund and Saas-Almagell for a regional total of 150 km.

Unlike its neighbour Zermatt (mega-domain, mass tourism), Saas-Fee maintains an intimate and family-friendly character: car-free village, peaceful atmosphere, high-altitude skiing without the crowds. The glacier permits skiing from November to May (and summer for competition teams).

Why ski here

1. 18 peaks of 4,000m Saas-Fee is surrounded by more “four-thousanders” than any other Alpine resort. Dom (4,545 m), Allalinhorn (4,027 m), Weissmies (4,017 m)… the panorama is breathtaking.

2. Glacier at 3,573m with summer skiing Metro Alpin: the world’s highest underground funicular ascends to the glacier. Guaranteed skiing from November to May, with summer season for national teams.

3. Car-free village Like Zermatt, Saas-Fee is pedestrian. But smaller, quieter, more affordable. The Alpine experience without the tourist circus.
