Ideal for Group of twelve that is flexible and doesn't need exact ski-in / ski-out but does want the table laid.
Avoid if If absolute priority is skiing out from the door, there are more direct options in the catalogue.

Serendipity is one I book when a client tells me “I want twelve beds but without paying for the ski-in / ski-out of Trois Ours”.

Five minutes’ walk to the lift. Hot tub. Dining room for twelve. Chef who understands diets and counts them without fuss. Host who opens the door before you ring.

Have you ever walked five minutes in ski boots? It’s not the torture people make it out to be. It is what separates this chalet from one that costs twenty thousand pounds more.

Don’t go if absolute priority is skiing down to the door. There are more direct options in the catalogue.

Some weeks Serendipity is the most balanced chalet in Méribel. The ones it isn’t, are already booked.

Why Méribel

600 km of piste. Three villages. A resort that does not show off.

Méribel is the geographical centre of Les Trois Vallées. In cold figures, that is 600 km of connected piste. In practice, it is breakfast in Méribel, lunch in Val Thorens, and runs down through Courchevel without touching the car.

It is not Chamonix. It does not require you to be worthy before you are happy. Méribel has trees and small villages and pistes that still ski well when it is blowing higher up. It works for the group of six friends who ski hard. It works for the grandparents who take three blue runs and earn their fondue.

Do not go if you are after a glacier above 3,000 m, or if the idea of seeing wooden chalets on every corner bores you. Zermatt or Val d’Isère are there for that.

Méribel is like a good conversation: it starts slowly and you do not want it to end.

Book

Book chalet Serendipity

Méribel runs in weeks, Saturday to Saturday, and the good chalets go fast. If you have dates and a group, send me the details here. I will confirm real availability (not the theoretical kind on the spreadsheet) and a closed price in euros within 24 working hours. If the week you want is taken, I will offer alternatives in this same chalet or another of the same standard.
