Resort fact sheet

Resort name Club Med La Plagne 2100
Category ★★★★ (4 Tridents)
Country France
Region Savoie
Base altitude 2,100 m
Ski area Paradiski
Kilometres of piste 425 km
Children’s clubs 2-3 years, 4-10 years, 11-13 years, 14-17 years
Ideal for Family or group with children from 2 years old that prioritises altitude (2,100 m, snow guarantee from November to May) and the 425 km of Paradiski without giving up total ski-in/ski-out.
Avoid if Family with babies under 2 years old — La Plagne 2100 does NOT operate Baby Club, opens from Petit Club (2-3). For Baby Club + altitude in Savoie, Tignes (also 2,100 m, does have Baby). Or whoever is looking for traditional architecture: La Plagne is a functional 1970s resort — for tradition, Valmorel.

La Plagne 2100 is the altitude piece of Paradiski. At 2,100 m base altitude — 500 metres higher than Peisey-Vallandry and 350 more than Les Arcs Panorama, in the same domain — the resort is positioned so that snow never fails. The 425 km of Paradiski connected with Les Arcs by the Vanoise Express complete the picture.

The spa bears the Payot signature, the rooms are divided into three categories (Superior 6 options, Deluxe 5, Suite 1). The key difference with the other two Club Meds in Paradiski is not the domain but the emotional altitude: here we come to ski many hours and return to the hotel tired. If it’s -10 degrees, it doesn’t matter — the piste reaches the door. If it snows hard, the first descents are done by the hotel group without queues.

The architecture is a 1970s-80s resort, tower format. Honestly: the building won’t feature in the photos. What will feature is the sunrise view from breakfast, empty pistes in March and long days skiing until five o’clock with the sun still over the glacier.

For clients torn between the three Club Meds in Paradiski: if altitude is the priority → La Plagne 2100. If it’s a family forest atmosphere → Peisey-Vallandry. If it’s a serene Exclusive Collection → Les Arcs Panorama.

Don’t go if traditional architecture weighs on you, or if altitude makes you dizzy. For tradition, Valmorel; for low altitude, Grand Massif.

La Plagne 2100 is for whoever says “I want altitude, kilometres and real ski-in, everything else I don’t care about”.

Why Club Med

Lift pass, lessons, meals and kids’ club on a single invoice.

Club Med works very well for one particular kind of traveller: families who do not want to think about anything for a week, couples who would rather have the table already set than go hunting for a bistro, groups who like dinner to mix with other tables. If you recognise yourself there, this is for you.

All-inclusive in the Alps has little to do with all-inclusive in the Caribbean. Here the lift pass, the ESF lessons, full board with wine on the table and the kids’ club all live inside the same price. There are no surprises on the way out. When you add up on paper what each of those costs separately at any resort in the Alps, the Club Med model usually lands on the side of making sense.

If it does not suit you, I will say so: if what you want is the cabin lost in the middle of the woods, or long dinners in the village at your own pace, or you are not taking anyone to a kids’ club — there are other products on this same site for that (chalets in Méribel, and booking freely in any of the resorts we list).

What I add is the human filter: helping you decide which resort fits how you travel — before you book, not after.
