Resort fact sheet
Pragelato is Italy’s only Club Med ski resort — and that changes everything. Here you cross the resort gate and find a piazza with a trattoria, not a corporate lobby. The architecture is Piedmont stone and dark wood chalets, built according to the valley’s code. Four hours’ drive from Nice, two from Turin, and you enter a different register: same brand Club Med, another culture.
The domain is the Vialattea — 400 km connecting Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana and Claviere, with five peaks above 2,500 m. It’s the historic domain of the Turin 2006 Olympic Games, and remains one of the Alps’ most underrated; less crowded than the Trois Vallées, with the Banchetta black run as iconic to Italy. Spa signed by Payot, three room categories (Superior 7, Deluxe 4, Suite 1).
What I’d highlight: Lo Spazio. It’s the most complete teen space in the Club Med Alps catalogue (Club Med themselves flag it on their sheet). If you’re coming with teenagers who no longer want mini club but aren’t ready for après-ski alone, this resort has the best-thought solution in all the Alps. That’s why I usually send families with 13-17 year-olds here.
Don’t come if you expect a classic French village (you’re in Italy, different pace), or quiet without children (Pragelato is very family-oriented). For adult quiet, try Saint-Moritz or Les Arcs Panorama.
Pragelato is the “we want something different from French skiing, we want to eat well and the kids won’t get bored” I send to families who already know Savoie.

Best for
Family with teens (Lo Spazio is one of the best teen spaces in the Club Med Alps catalogue) who appreciate genuine Italian cuisine. 400 km of Vialattea, historic connection with Sestriere, Dolce Vita pace. Children's programme from age 2.
Do not go if
Family with babies under 2 years — Pragelato does NOT operate Baby Club (0-2), opens from Petit Club (2-3). For Baby Club in Italy there's no Club Med option; in France, try Valmorel, La Rosière or Tignes. Also not a fit for couples seeking quiet: Italian pace is livelier, more social dining.
